Replacing cylinder liners requires the old liners to be pressed or knocked out of the engine block. New liners are then pressed into the block. Cylinder liners must always be bored and honed before installing pistons. Removal and installation of the cylinder liners, boring and honing is best left to a qualified machine shop.
