If you are replacing one or two glow plugs because they are bad, you should consider replacing all of them since the others are the same age as the ones that failed. Before installing new glow plugs, the glow plug holes must be reamed out and the resultant carbon must be blown out of the cylinders to eliminate shorting out the new plugs.
