Mercedes® Ignition Coil, Black, 1968-1981

The simplest way to check the coil is to replace it with another coil for testing. If this is not possible, take the coil to an automotive shop that has the equipment to test coils. Also check the case for cracks or other damage and make sure the terminals are not rusty or corroded. The terminals and wire leads should always be clean and dry.
