Description
The constant velocity joints on each end of each rear axle are not serviced separately from the axle. The axle is bought, sold, and installed as an assembly. Axle boots are replaceable, but it is a difficult process. Boot kits are available from Mercedes but require special tools the disassemble and reassemble the axle to allow replacement of the rubber boots. Professional installation only.
