If you suspect a transmission leak, remember automatic transmission fluid is deep red in color and don't confuse any engine oil that is blown by air flow onto the transmission. To pinpoint a leak, remove all build up dirt and grime around the trans. Using a degreaser and steam cleaning work best. After cleaning, drive the car at low speeds so as not to blow the leak far from the source.
